The Blue & White is a student-run newspaper produced during the school year and distributed to approximately 450 students, staff, and the surrounding community of Newport, Pennsylvania. The paper is considered a forum for student opinion and achievement. Letters to the editor are accepted only if signed. The Blue & White reserves the right to edit any letter for space and content in order to maintain the paper’s high principles against obscenity, defamatory material, and personal attacks. The staff will disregard any letter exhibiting this content. Unsigned editorials reflect the opinion of a majority of the staff and no one individual may be held responsible for the opinion in editorials. If an editorial is signed it reflects the opinion of that writer and not the Blue & White staff, advisor, or school district.
