With fame comes attention, and not all of that attention is positive. Chappell Roan became an overnight internet sensation. Her song, Good Luck Babe blew up over TikTok which led many curious listeners to indulge in her other songs, such as HOT TO GO and Pink Pony Club. Within a short month, she became an extremely popular and well-known singer.
Chappell Roan is very open with her opinions and mental health, which has recently landed her in some hot water with her fans. On Sept. 27th, Chappell Roan announced to her fans that she would be unable to perform at the “All Things Go” event in New York and Washington. She decided to cancel her sets for her health. Fans normally wouldn’t be upset about this if it wasn’t for the fact that the cancellation was on such short notice and she had also made controversial statements at the beginning of the month. She had earlier said she would refuse to endorse a political candidate for the upcoming election.
Many fans are split on whether Chappell Roan was in the right or wrong. Some defend her, saying that her mental health comes first while others criticize her for not giving more compensation for the sudden cancellation.
