Movies are always fun and festive activities to do with family and friends, but deciding on a movie can be a challenge; after all, there are plenty of movies to watch! Here is a list of holiday films for you to enjoy over break…
Home Alone
“Home Alone” is a classic holiday movie that most people have seen before. Does that mean it’s a bad movie? No, it still holds up to this day. Released in 1990, “Home Alone” is a Disney Movie centered around an 8-year-old boy, Kevin, who makes his family “disappear.” Completely left alone with no supervision, Kevin lives the life every 90s kid would want to live. Eventually, things turn sour when a criminal duo hits his Neighborhood, with his house as their main target.
A Christmas Story
“A Christmas Story” is a 1983 movie about a young boy named Ralphie. Ralphie really wants a B.B. rifle for Christmas but is told the same thing by everyone: “You’ll shoot your eye out.” It’s a very simple but very good Christmas movie for the whole family.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas
Everyone is familiar with Mickey Mouse and his group of friends. “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas” follows him and his friends in an anthology of stories. Each story focuses on a different character or different group of characters. This classic is very similar to its sequel, “Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas,” which follows the formula of its predecessor.
White Christmas
Released in 1954, “White Christmas” is a musical film about a former Broadway star being sent to entertain the military. The character, Bob, is caught in debris and a man named Paul saves him. Bob and Paul become a duo act and perform together. The two make it big as performers and are invited to an act. This slower-burn movie hits with an emotional punch.
